Shropshire’s Freedom Festival

Lifting Local Spirits as Lockdown Lifts.

Calling all musicians, DJ’s, comedians, theatre groups and other performers! Have you found it hard during lockdown to carry on with your livelihood, love or hobby? Don’t worry we have you covered! For the entire summer period, The British Ironwork Centre is creating a daily programme of artist sessions as part of the Freedom Festival.

We understand that the last 18 months have been tough on everyone, so the Freedom Festival will be a way to lift not only visitors spirits but also those who have had to put their livelihoods, loves and hobbies on hold. We want to create a positive, welcoming and uplifting space which is enjoyable for all ages. In the wake of Covid, we understand that not everyone is keen to visit busy places, however with 90acres of land, the Freedom Festival is open to the outdoor elements and will still comply with recent Covid regulations, making sure each and everyone of our performers and visitors feel safe as we come out of the latest lockdowns. Freedom Festival will be a way to lift spirits during the summer months after a long haul of lockdowns and restrictions. In essence, the Freedom Festival is a way of welcoming the freedoms of a normal life again.

The Freedom Festival is designed for artists, performers, and entertainers to launch their ideas, test their skills and get exposure to a completely new and diverse audience. All performer sessions will be free of charge and will benefit from social media exposure from the highly thriving British Ironwork Centre platforms.

The British Ironwork Centre will provide visitor seating, sun umbrellas and blankets for comfort. There will also be a variety of games available for the younger generation, including swing ball and padding pools to play in.

To enquire about performing at the Freedom Festival, email info@britishironworkcentre.co.uk for more information and to book your slot.
