We believe that strong community engagement has a positive part to play in both developing the centre and in creating a wonderful healthy following in the community.

Starting in 2018, Kid's club will be running a calendar of activities and aims to involve children of all genders, abilities, nationalities and ages.

Members will get first awareness of children's events and activities, with an email notification to an email address provided by a parent or guardian. Events and activities will always involve parents or guardians being invited too.

Proms in the Park 2020 - Saturday 23rd of May

Proms In The Park 2020

The Ironworks’ ‘Proms in the Park’ 2020

Public Service Announcement: Cancellation Notice

Due to increasing public concerns surrounding the recent COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, we are making the difficult decision to postpone our ‘Proms in the Park’ event this year. With this event, in particular, being very much a large gathering with people seated in close proximity, it was felt best that we take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all involved during such an uncertain period. We have been in correspondence with all parties involved in the event, including the Wrexham Symphony Orchestra, and we are all in agreement that our visitor’s peace of mind and best interests must be prioritised.

We understand that this may be very disappointing, however, if you have purchased Proms tickets for this year, please get in touch so we can issue you a full refund. Alternatively, anyone wishing to decline the refund and help us to support the NHS at this time can do so. We’d like to ensure we raise our efforts to help the front-line services at this quite unprecedented time and will pass all money raised through non-refunded ticket sales over to the NHS. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you at later events in the year!

A spectacular evening like no other filled with excellent music from the Wrexham Symphony Orchestra, great food, fireworks and a whole heap of fun for every member of the family!

Beautifully set within 100 acres of parkland right here at the Ironworks, the annual Proms in the Park event is certainly one of the most fabulous music events in the Borderlands. A whole family evening featuring top-class music from radio, TV, films and history, this event promises something special for every single attendee. Whether you’re a lover of classical music or a bit of a film fanatic, Proms in the Park 2020 has been specifically designed to be enjoyed by you all!

We welcome you to bring a delicious picnic, cosy blankets, and comfy seating. We also allow personal gazebos, but these must be set up at the rear of the crowd to ensure that everyone can get a great view of the stage! As part of the evening, delicious treats will be served including a very British strawberries and cream sundae. The Forge Café will also be open all evening for those that fancy hot drinks or something sweet to really heighten their Proms experience.

All proceeds collected on the night are in aid of a selected charity, underpinning the Ironworks’ charitable support.

Transport Rally

With last year’s transport rally being a roaring success, we are excited to host the event again for 2020. We had over 500 vehicles in attendance last year, and a huge crowd of enthralled spectators, all of whom made it a fantastic day..

So this year, we are putting the pedal to the metal, and are busy organising lots of exciting things, including live music, the famous midday cavalcade, and exciting activities for the children!

This event has been postponed until 2021
