Remembrance Tree Terms & Conditions

There are some terms and conditions that you must agree to before taking part in our Remembrance Tree scheme.

The tree:

  • Young trees need love and care.
  • The Ironworks has limited resources, therefore by hosting your tree, it must be understood that care and maintenance is a shared responsibility.
  • Your regular checks and care would be paramount to ensuring its success and longevity.
  • Routine or periodic checks are always recommended, especially in hot, dry weather where watering will be needed, particularly in the earlier years.
  • Trees can be affected by disease and other such issues. We cannot accept any responsibility should the tree die prematurely.
  • We are on a public site. Whilst we provide a tree guard, the tree may sustain damage. We cannot take responsibility in these circumstances.

Planting day:

  • Please wear appropriate clothing when coming to plant your tree. You might get muddy!
  • Please wear suitable footwear; the ground may be uneven and will likely be off from our usual paths.
  • Please make sure you are fit and able to plant the tree if you opt to plant it by yourself – if you would like any assistance, please ask and this will be arranged.

Your information:

  • The information you provide us with will be accessible to our employees.
  • When posting on social media, we may provide our followers with a brief reason as to why you are planting the tree. If you do not wish us to do this, you must opt out in the application form.

Pictures:

  • By taking part in our remembrance tree scheme, you are agreeing to have your photo taken by our photographer and have it published on our website and on social media.
  • Should the press become interested in the progression of this scheme, you agree to have your photo be sent to them for potential press release.
