Peace Building London

The Knife Angel, throughout its national tour of the UK, has become synonymous with striving to promote peace wherever it goes. Due to the success of the Knife Angel in working to combat violence and encourage peaceful resolutions, we were recently contacted by the brand-new charity, “The Peace Building”, with regards to potentially housing the Knife Angel at the end of its UK tour.

The Peace Building charity was founded by Anna Lubelska, a child of a Holocaust survivor, who is well known throughout London due to a long career in local government. She has been a long-time advocate of finding peaceful resolutions, something that goes hand-in-hand with the anti-violence message that the Knife Angel portrays. The Peace Building is seeking to help promote peace, both nationally, as well as throughout the world, with the ultimate goal of having a permanent Peace Museum building.

Besides the potential to display the Knife Angel on a long term or permanent basis, we were also asked to create a concept for a façade to be displayed on the exterior of the Peace Building. As such we have created a drawing to illustrate how we would perceive it to look as well as what would be possible. Our vision is to use recovered weaponry from the UK streets to create the dove and olive branches featured in the design.

We hope to be able to assist them in the future, whether that be through the Knife Angel or the creation of the façade.
