NHS staff have not only dealt with the original outbreak when very little was known about the virus, and they arrive on the front line each day since courageously knowing the immense risks they pose to themselves and to their loved ones.

They are consciously aware that their service is putting their own lives at tremendous risk, yet they still remain at arms and steadfast against this evolving virus.

We believe that evidencing and expressing our gratitude now in order to raise the morale and pay tribute to our medical heroes.

It is our intention that the medals should not only be designed in Shropshire, but also if possible be manufactured in Shropshire, along with a public presentation of the medals be organised whereby the public could attend without cost and allow our heroes to feel the ground vibrate with their applause.
