National Domestic Abuse Monument

In the year ended March 2021, there were 845,734 police recorded domestic abuse-related crimes in England and Wales. Domestic abuse can appear in many forms, from physical to mental, and can affect anyone.

Coercive control, economic control and abuse, threats, intimidation and emotion abuse are just some of the ways domestic abuse can appear. It is a very real problem that our society faces, and it is often hidden behind closed doors.

We want to help raise awareness of the suffering and misery that domestic abuse brings to its victims, and what can be done to help.

Here is a concept idea of a National Domestic Abuse Monument that we are working on.
