Whilst the city of London was in the midst of a mayoral race with voting to elect a new Mayor of London on the 6th May 2021, one of the candidates for this prestigious position was Brian Rose of the London Real Party, whose team contacted us regarding the creation of a visual representation of a new London Dragon with a view to assisting them in it’s design and creation. These dragons are boundary markers within the city with each one being unique. Our idea and concept behind this new London Dragon, whom we have named “Big Smoke”, is to use weapons and blades which have been reclaimed or surrendered around the city.

Having had previous experience from working with reclaimed weapons on projects such as the Knife Angel and Manchester Bee, we are really excited about this project and hope to be able to help turn our vision into a reality.

While the above image depicts a dragon that very much fits in with the conventional London Dragon designs, we have also created a separate design concept which offers a new, fresh look. This updated version features a design which portrays more movement and motion.
