FAQs

How much does it cost?

We provide the Fish Sculpture free of charge!

How do the fish get transported?

The Fish will need to be collected from The British Ironwork Centre and returned to us at the end of your hosting. They measure at around 275cm long, 120cm wide, and 150cm tall. Once you have completed your project, we ask that you return the Fish on time as it will be due to be collected by another school or organisation.

How do we qualify?

To qualify to be a part of the campaign, each school/organisation must commit to:

  • Carry out extensive work throughout the community in educating and raising awareness in recycling and encourage everyone to contribute in collecting crisp packets.
  • To be active throughout the hosting period on social media and in the press to get the public and students/members involved.

What would enable us to host?

The Fish will need to be collected from the British Ironwork Centre and returned to us promptly to enable the next school/organisation, who will be eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Fish to host after you. The Fish must be placed in a secure location within the school grounds/organisation and not in a public place for security reasons.

How does The British Ironwork Centre sustain this project?

We offer this project to schools and organisations for free but rely on each school/organisation committing to ensuring the whole community embraces the project. It will need to feature heavily on your social media and in the local press so that the message on recycling and awareness on the issues we face with plastics is felt by the entire community. The Fish sculpture has been made bespoke just for this challenge. So, we ask that each school/organisation helps us ensure our investment is not in vain.
