Historic Coronation

Commemorative Plaques

To Honour and Celebrate King Charles III

Here at the British Ironworks Centre, we were passionate about creating a lasting reminder of this year’s most historic event: King Charles III’s Coronation.

Working closely with Anna Turner, Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, we had an idea: to help provide plaques for every town in Shropshire to commemorate the Coronation.

Each major town will have their own individual, personalised plaque inscribed with the name of the town which will be mounted upon a civic building for all to see and enjoy. These robust plaques are crafted from high-grade stainless steel.

We are grateful to have had a lot of interest in these plaques and have since had all sorts of organisations enquire about them.

To help as many institutions as possible to commemorate the Coronation, we have decided to work with schools and other organisations to create plaques of their own.

If you would like to enquire about a plaque for your own school, charity or organisation, please email us at [email protected].

We offered schools and organisations four designs to choose from. They could choose between the traditional town plaques made from stainless steel, or modern, contemporary acrylic plaques.

Both are eye-catching and can be placed either inside or out.

It is our hope that we can immortalise and pay lasting tribute to the King and all future monarchs with these wonderful plaques.

The coronation has brought communities, schools, organisations and charities together. It is a day on which we can be proud to be British!
