1. Purpose

This policy outlines the security measures in place to ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all visitors, staff, volunteers, contractors, and assets at The Ironworks.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all persons entering the premises, including members of the public, employees, contractors, performers, event staff, and partner agencies.

3. Security Objectives

4. Security Measures

4.1 Entry Screening

• All visitors are subject to security screening upon entry.
• Security scanners may be in operation at the main entrance.
• Random bag searches may be conducted.
• Searches may include bags, coats, pushchairs (where applicable), and personalbelongings.
• Refusal to comply with security screening or bag searches may result in refusal ofentry.
• 4.2 Controlled Entry and Exit

• Entry and exit points are controlled and monitored by security personnel.
• A managed flow system may be implemented during busy events to ensure effectivescreening and crowd safety.
• 4.3 Security Personnel

• Trained security staff are present during operational hours and events.
• Security personnel are responsible for conducting searches, monitoring access points,managing crowd safety, and responding to incidents.
• Staff maintain a professional and approachable presence to provide reassurance to guests.

5. Police Partnership and Project Servator

The Ironworks works in partnership with Cheshire Police to support Project Servator. Project Servator:

• Is a national policing tactic aimed at disrupting criminal activity.
• Involves highly visible and unpredictable police deployments.
• Is not linked to specific intelligence about a threat to the venue.
• Provides reassurance to the public while enhancing security.Police officers deployed under Project Servator are specially trained to identify behaviours that may indicate criminal intent. Officers may liaise with venue security staff and engage with visitors as part of routine operations.6. ComplianceAll visitors, staff, and contractors are required to cooperate with security procedures. Failure to comply with security measures may result in:

• Refusal of entry
• Removal from the premises
