    What a fantastic concert put on by Porthywaen Silver Band and Voices of the Valley - The Fron Male Voice Choir put on last night, it definitely put us in a Christmas mood. We are so excited to be hearing the band again tomorrow as they are performing Christmas carols and songs for everyone visiting the centre.   3. Andrew Langley new sculpture on display

    The newest arrival to the British ironworks is this enormous contemporary lion sculpture. Sculptor, Andrew Langley specialises in decorative metalwork sculptures and we have quite a few of his works now on display. We are delighted to be hosting this magnificent sculpture for the foreseeable months. If you want to see something spectacular, come and have a look at him.

  4. Stadco Christmas get together

    We had Stadco here this week for their Christmas get together! The whole group came clad in their Christmas Jumpers and enjoyed a tour of our metal workshops and a sneak preview of our knife angel project. The group had great fun and exchanged their secret Santa gifts while they were here to! Thank you so much for coming and we wish you a very merry Christmas!

  7. Wolverhampton knife bank unveiling

    We attended the unveiling of the 'Save A Life' knife bank in Bilston, Wolverhampton this morning. Sculptor, Alfie Bradley went along to the unveiling at the Bilston Morrison's store along with Denise, of Morrison's supermarket, Councillor Linda Leach, Usha Patel - secretary for 'action for Bilston', Martin Danher - Community police officer for Bilston, Judy Foster - Assistant Crime Commissioner and Lesley Dean, community activist.   8. St Christopher`s students study at the Ironworks

    Students from St Christophers School, Wrexham who study animal care atColeg Cambria came to learn and study at the British Ironworks Centre. They not only came to see head falconer Andy to learn more about his birds of prey, but they got to see our current project, the knife sculpture, to learn how art can create an immense impact on society.

    Ann Dulson from Avalon Day Centre in Oswestry popped in today in search of a raffle prize for the day centres Christmas coffee morning tomorrow and 10am. They have already got meal vouchers and donations from Halfords Oswestry. We donated this wall clock to their raffle in the hope they can raise even more money towards the centre.

  10. Before and After

    Natasha Williams who came to collect a raffle prize from us recently as she was raising money for Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity. Natasha had organised a fun day and was looking for people to donate as she was going to have her head shaved for the cause.
