We attended the unveiling of the 'Save A Life' knife bank in Bilston, Wolverhampton this morning. Sculptor, Alfie Bradley went along to the unveiling at the Bilston Morrison's store along with Denise, of Morrison's supermarket, Councillor Linda Leach, Usha Patel - secretary for 'action for Bilston', Martin Danher - Community police officer for Bilston, Judy Foster - Assistant Crime Commissioner and Lesley Dean, community activist. Also in attendance was David Webb of west Midlands police who has been a big supporter of the campaign in the Midlands and Zarreena Russell, chairperson of Action 4 Bilston. West Midlands Police along with Bilston East Neighbourhood team have over seen the installation. We are hoping that the locality of this knife bank will encourage donations and get even more knives off the streets.
Action 4 Bilston are a community group run by volunteers who hope to make a difference in their community. We thank them for supporting the campaign. Bilston is yet another community supported by the British Ironwork centre
