Yvonne mosquito and the BBC visit the ironworks
An Important day here at the Ironworks! Today saw the BBC filming here, covering the story of the West Midlands weapons transfer. The Weapons, which were collected by police forces across the Midlands, were brought to Shropshire to be included in the creation of the 'National Monument against Violence and Aggression'
Yvonne Mosquito, Deputy West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner joined us here at the Ironworks along with the Maddocks family from Wrexham, who lost Craig, son and brother in a fatal knife attack. After filming, Yvonne joined Clive to see first-hand the making of the knife banks in our workshops. The knife banks are sent to police forces across the UK to enable them to collect weapons safely. The filming which took place today will be televised soon on the BBC.....watch this space.
