The British ironwork centre have just completed their sponsorship of a student of excellence in blacksmithing. The Centre was approached to help judge a collection of exhibits at Hereford School of Blacksmithing Hereford from the best students involved in blacksmithing.
All the students were invited to submit pieces for judging and the finest student was to receive a cheque presentation. Judges and specialists within the industry were gathered, to examine and deliberate over all the exhibits that numbered in access of 40.
Managing Director Clive Knowles from The British Ironworks in Oswestry said, it was a near impossible task, all the entries were fabulous, so many students with great prospects, it’s exciting to see , what great innervations’ come from these students in the future.
Present at the same event, the BABA annual general meeting ( The British Artists Blacksmiths Association ) with over 50 blacksmiths from all over the country , it was truly a memorable evening.
