Introducing Pete Griffiths, the latest artist to join our 'Artists On Tour'. This incredible bike sculpture took Pete an astounding two years to create, he could only work on the bike which he named Turbo Head, for a few hours in the evening after work and the odd weekend.
The engine is made from an old trolley jack, two paint tins and motor cycle chains. The frame was made by using old car parts, a garden swing, garden chairs, and an old bike from his local scrap yard. The rest of the bike was made from any old junk Pete could find under his welding bench. Pete made another bike which was similar in design and now resides in the USA. At the moment Pete is working on another motorcycle project and is hoping it doesn’t take him another two years to complete.
This magnificent sculpture is for sale for £1,200.
