Oswestry Town Park has celebrated the queen’s diamond jubilee year with the installation of a 6FT high wrought iron crown, to honour 60 years of her majesty's reign. The 6ft creation has been donated & designed by the British ironwork centre, Oswestry.Mr Clive knowles Managing director of the ironwork centre is spearheading a campaign to rally all local Oswestry businesses to contribute & help the town, saying:“Our town needs all of its commercial and public organisations to support its development, Oswestry will thrive if we all share in its welfare & prosperity”“Its our town, we all need to do more!”Special thanks needs to be given to Betty Gull for her inspiration & Glenys Davies who has managed the whole project.
