The University of Durham has contacted the British Ironworks as they would like to use our National "Save a Life , Surrender your Knife" Project as a study for their criminology department and degree students.
Students will be focusing on our recent efforts to install knife banks in Northumberland, Cleveland and Durham , as part of the UK wide knife amnesty campaign, that we’ve been working on.
The case study is focusing on the North East as it currently has
allegedly the highest recorded numbers of knife attacks
and violence in the country. Students will be exploring how
our efforts, with the support of local constabularies, have enabled strategies
to help reduce this awful static.
