West Midlands Weapons Transfer

West Midlands Weapons Transfer

The Ironworks take receipt of weapons from across the whole of the West Midlands! DC David Webb and Michael Hall, Cannabis and Knife disposal manager at Holyhead road police station, were the police escorts which followed our vehicle to ensure safe passage to Oswestry. Thousands of weapons were collected and brought here, to the Ironworks so that our sculptor, Alfie Bradley, can continue the creation of the 'National Monument against Violence and Aggression...The 'Knife Angel'

Over 30,000 knives have so far been used in our campaign and today's weapons transfer marks a milestone for the project. It has been months in the planning and we are so glad of the support from West Midlands Police and other police forces across the UK. Our next big collection will be with Northumbria Police which should be taking place over the next couple of weeks.
