Patriotic Partnerships (Flying the flag together)
The British Legion and the British Ironworks are working towards being more proactive this year in raising funds, £800.00 was raised from the sale of metal poppies last year and more projects will take place throughout 2016.
Whilst the British Legion are receiving this support, they wanted to be reciprocal and have now offered to lead the procession at the Ironworks vintage car rally event on Saturday 16th July, with their flag bearers.
Also they are arranging to have a permanent standard raised and installed at the Ironworks and all future AGM meetings will be held at the centre.
To accept the cheque of £800 Mike Woolhouse standard bearer, David Cooper, chairman and Barbara Craig, Secretary visited the centre.
