Hope House Go Diving For Donations

Today saw the Hope House fundraising team don rubber gloves and goggles to empty three wishing wells at the British Ironworks.

As you can see from the photos, the team had a great time scooping out all the coins, totalling a serious pile of money .

The wishing wells were brought about because it was noticed that children especially liked throwing money into the fountains at the Ironworks.

Thereafter it was decided to formally create wishing wells that would be dedicated to the Oswestry charity.

Vanessa Thomas is quoted as saying, ‘this is another inspirational idea that provides pleasure for families, especially kids and helps our children wonderfully. We'll let you all know the value once we've dried out and returned to the office, that was a big task to empty all three.’

Benjamin Knowles managing director for the Ironworks has said, ‘our visitors have obviously seen the signs and have not only made wishes but have given very generously too.’

A huge thank you to all our visitors and may all your wishes come true!
