Farm Friends

Long before we were a sculpture park & long before the Ironworks, we were a farm (Whitehall Farm).

WHO LIVES AT THE IRONWORKS?

We do have some longstanding family friends sharing the sculpture park,  they live and can be talked too but we always prefer to discourage feeding or petting as they are not exhibits, they are family friends that reside in the park and in some cases roam free.

To introduce to you our four legged and feathered friends on site, here’s who they are:

ELSA THE DONKEY

Elsa the Donkey

I'm a three year old donkey, (white in colour some of the time.)

I'm always hungry but PLEASE DO NOT FEED ME! because once I start I can't stop!

My mom and dad feed and chat to me everyday.

If it's hot or my water bowl is low, please use the tap and top it up for me.

Jacks The Pony

BEE HIVES

We currently have 4 Bee Hives in the Sculpture Park, all are working and thriving colonies.

This is in collaboration with Oswestry Bee Keeper Anthony.

Anthony visits the hives regularly and keeps them buzzing.

These are not hives for visitors to interact with … but part of our ecology policy and environmental drive.
