Website Administrator (Full or Part Time)

About The Role

Our website team are hard at work to ensure that our website looks and functions at its absolute best. In order to achieve our aspirations, we are searching for a talented Website Administrator to work with our team in maintaining all aspects of our website including adding product listings and maintaining categories. Other duties include monitoring website performance using Google Analytics with a view to optimising page performance through the use of SEO and PPC.

About You

  • A good command of the English language with excellent spelling and punctuation.
  • Awareness of Google Analytics, SEO and PPC.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with Magento is beneficial.
  • Previous experience of Website Administration is highly advantageous.

Copywriter (Part Time)

About The Role

Are you creatively minded and possess an excellent grasp of the English language? Then this role may well be for you!

We are looking to add a dynamic copywriter to our team with a view to creating engaging copy for the wide variety of products found on our website. Writing descriptive copy for anything from stair spindles to sculptures, fire guards to gazebos and so much more, no two days are the same.

This is a part time role which can be situated in our offices or remotely.

About You

  • Excellent written English abilities including impeccable punctuation and grammar.
  • Able to create engaging and informative product descriptions.
  • As an added bonus, a working knowledge of SEO would be advantageous.

Groundskeeper and Maintenance (Part Time)

About The Role

With over 90 acres of ground, keeping on top of the various required maintenance in each of our areas is essential to helping us to look our best. Working with our grounds crew, this varied role will include ground maintenance such as mowing, strimming, planting, pruning as well as general tidying. The role is part time and offers a degree of flexibility in hours.

About You

  • This role would suit an individual who enjoys working outdoors in all weathers and is physically fit.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Previous groundskeeping experience and working with equipment would be advantageous but not essential.

Chef (Part Time)

About The Role

Working in our busy Forge Café, we are seeking an experienced Chef on a part time basis. The successful candidate will be assisting in creating our delicious hot and cold food including our famous afternoon teas. The hours of work will be shift based around the hours of 9:00-17:00, so a degree of flexibility will be required.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Chef or catering role would be highly advantageous.
  • Able to prepare a wide variety of dishes, cakes and more
  • Great attention to detail with a high standard of presentation.

Welder and Metal Worker (Contractual)

About The Role

Working on a contractual basis, we are seeking an experienced welder and metal worker to assist us with an exciting new project! Working alongside our talented team of metal workers and artists, the successful applicant will be operating our MIG welder as well as other general metalwork in our workshop.

About You

  • Previous welding experience is required, especially in MIG welding.
  • A good general knowledge of metalworking techniques.
  • A good team player.

Blacksmith (Part Time)

About The Role

We are looking to find an experienced Blacksmith to work in our on-site forge in a highly varied role. This includes everything from creating products made from wrought iron and demonstrating the art of blacksmithing to the general public, through to offering occasional blacksmith experiences for visitors in a teaching role. This particular role is offered on a part time basis, with hours that are flexible for the ideal candidate.

About You

  • Previous blacksmith experience is essential for this role.
  • A friendly personality who is comfortable with interacting with our visitors.
  • The ability to calmly and clearly guide visitors through their blacksmith experience.

Purchase Ledger Clerk (Full/Part Time)

About The Role

Working within our busy accounts department, we are looking to add a Purchase Ledger Clerk to our team. Handling everything from invoices and purchase orders through to assisting with BACS transfers and general accounts work, our new Purchase Ledger Clerk will have a wide variety of duties. The role is available on either a full or part time basis depending on the individual.

About You

  • A high standard of accuracy and numeracy is required.
  • Previous accounts experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Highly organised and efficient.
  • Having a degree of flexibility to complete various tasks.

Pony/Donkey Keeper (Part Time) - Currently have someone on trial

About The Role

If you love animals and anything to do with our equine friends, this role may well be for you. As part of our grounds, we have on site a variety of animals including ponies and donkeys. We are seeking an experienced keeper to take care of the animals on site which includes grooming, exercise, and general care of the animals as well the stable and paddock. This role is offered as part time on the weekends.

About You

  • Previous experience of working with animals, specifically Horses and Donkeys.
  • The role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors in all weathers and isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty.
  • A strong understanding of animal welfare and requirements.

Membership & Greetings (Part Time)

About The Role

Situated in our main entrance, we are looking for a vibrant, friendly individual with a warm personality to be the face of the British Ironwork Centre in welcoming our visitors. Offering the best first impression, the candidate will be responsible for assisting our visitors with our memberships as well as offering guidance and direction for their visit. The role is being offered on a part time basis.

About You

  • Loves interacting with people and assisting them with their needs.
  • Confident and pleasant demeanour.

Purchasing Assistant – Chinese Speaking (Full Time)

About The Role

Working alongside our Purchasing Manager, we are seeking an experienced purchasing assistant who is a fluent Chinese speaker. Working directly with suppliers in China, this role entails liaising over orders and product sourcing.

About You

  • Fluent in Chinese (essential)
  • Experience of working in a purchasing department (desirable)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Engaging, enthusiastic and motivated
  • Confident and pleasant demeanour.

Ice Cream Parlour Assistant (Part Time)

About The Role

Are you passionate about ice cream? We are searching for an ice cream enthusiast to assist us in our busy ice cream parlour. Serving with a smile, you will be scooping up helpings of our delicious frozen treats to our many guests that visit us at the British Ironwork Centre. This role features flexible days and hours.

About You

  • Pleasant and happy demeanour (essential)
  • Retail experience (desirable)
  • A high standard of hygiene and presentation (essential)

Handyman/Handywoman (Full or Part Time)

About The Role

We are looking to add a handyman or handywoman to our team here at the Ironworks. Specifically, we are looking for an individual to assist us with installing sliding door windows into steel shipping containers. This role would suit an ex window-fitter or someone who has experience in working with glass and metal, including cutting or making alterations. The role is offered as either full or part time with flexible working hours available.

About You

  • A strong mechanical/engineering knowledge would be desirable.
  • This role would suit an individual who is physically fit.
  • Previous window fitting experience and working with equipment would be advantageous but not essential.
