The British Ironwork Centre is collaborating with leading local music festival, Osfest to promote our “Save a Life, Surrender Your Knife” project which aims to reduce the number of knives carried on the UK’s streets.
The Centre’s Campaign team will be attending the festival, which takes place at Park Hall Showground rom 9th August – 11th August and features some of the UK’s leading music acts, to raise awareness of the wide and tragic impact of knife crime.
Lucky festivalgoers who visit the “Save a Life, Surrender Your Knife” gazebo will receive a free wristband bearing the striking campaign logo. Youths will get the opportunity to join the campaign & engage in any of our initiatives.
Clive Knowles, Chairman of the British Ironwork Centre, said “We would like to thank the organisers of this fantastic music festival for the opportunity to raise awareness. It is a topic which has such a profound impact on all who are touched by it – we will be able to reach out to a huge number of people to promote our positive message. Taking one knife from the streets might just save a life.”
